A Bit About Toma, Your Neighbourhood
"Dyno Guy". I've been toying with cars for almost 20 years now, and have been tuning EFI for 10 years. I started learning on my own vehicles, then moved to cars of close friends, took several courses (though to be honest, most were much too basic), and back in early 2001, I bought my own MD250 Dyno (back when CDN/US exchange was $1.60!! OUCH!). I own and have read almost every book published on tuning, and my library currently contains 30+ books, and 200+ articles (no, I won't lend them out ;) )
I have personaly owned, and raced a variety of performance vehicles besides Mustangs... including a Hemi Charger, Integra, GM truck, LS1 Camaro, FD RX7, SRT4 etc, and have built everything from my own Big blocks, turbo set-ups, supercharged combos, and lots of nitrous swallowing motors! My life has always revolved around making horsepower, and even through my 2 University degrees, I never stopped "wasting precious time" (as my parents put it) on that never ending journey of making even more power.....oh how much smarter I would have been if I wasn't dreaming about nitrous to fuel ratios in my Statics and Dynamics classes..... lol A lot of tuners like to say how many cars they have tuned, or dynod etc.... and I honestly can't give you my number..... it is easily into the thousands, but I never kept track. I
always strive to do the best job I can, and value a satisfied customer.
I don't BS, or make excuses, and I am perfectly comfortable saying "I
Don't Have a Fuckin Clue" if something truly stumps me..... But
you can trust that I will not be able to sleep that night ;~) Feel confident dynoing with experience, and try and avoid those "tuners" that seem to make a habit of "learning on customers cars", and charging for it.....even as your engine fails! For
those that may have heard of my "mouth" and "opinions"
on the internet, you probably know that what I was best known for is
my personal 5.0 Mustang that using a chip tuned A9l computer was the
fastest stock shortblock 5.0 of its time.... and it was not a one hit
wonder. It ran 140+ mph in the quarter in NHRA legal trim and 3250 pounds
on PUMP GAS for several years. It did finally fail at a street car shootout
where I took second, but only because one of my fuel pumps failed!
